Celebrating Our 2024 VCE Results
As the 2024 academic year concludes, we are proud to share the exceptional VCE results achieved by our Year 12 students. These outcomes reflect their consistent dedication, hard work, and resilience, alongside the unwavering support of our dedicated teaching staff and the De La Salle community.
A Year of Strong Academic Achievement
- 32% of our students achieved an ATAR of 80 or higher, highlighting outstanding success across our diverse and inclusive cohort.
- An impressive 12.1% of students achieved an ATAR of 90 or above, a testament to their exceptional commitment.
- 20.2% attained an ATAR between 80 and 89.99, showcasing sustained academic excellence.
Celebrating Individual Excellence
We congratulate this year’s College Dux, Joseph Valcanas, who achieved an outstanding ATAR of 98.35, including a perfect study score of 50 in Geography. Joseph intends to pursue Science/Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne, and we look forward to his future success.

The Median ATAR of 70.40 reflects consistent efforts and readiness among our cohort to excel in their future endeavours. - Strength Across Disciplines:
Exceptional study scores were achieved in:
Physics, Accounting, Business Management, Geography, Health and Human Development, Visual Communication and Design, Drama, and Physical Education. - Excellence Above State Average:
With a Median Study Score of over 30 across 700+ individual assessments, many results fell within the 35–50 range, affirming the quality of education and student performance. - Early University Offers:
Ten students received early offers to highly sought-after courses such as Physiotherapy, Engineering, and Business Studies. - Vocational Major Success:
Over 70% of our VCE Vocational Major students have secured part-time or full-time employment, with the remainder pursuing further studies across a variety of fields.
