Camps, Tours and Immersions

Years 7 to 9

  • In Year 7, students take part in a camp experience designed to support their transition into secondary school, focussing on teamwork, belonging and personal growth.
  • In Year 8, they explore a wilderness setting, developing leadership, responsibility and a deeper connection with nature.
  • In Year 9, students undertake a four-day canoeing expedition along the River Murray – a physically and mentally rewarding adventure that strengthens perseverance, collaboration and confidence.

These experiences lay the foundation for lasting friendships and the development of skills that extend far beyond the College gates.

From Year 10

From Year 10, students have the opportunity to participate in a diverse selection of Tours and Immersions that align with their interests and values:

  • Lingua Viva – A two-week cultural immersion alternating between Italy and France.
  • International Sports Exchange – Alternating annually between an Irish Football Tour and a United States Basketball Tour.
  • Sacred Journeys – Experiences in Central Australia and Far North Queensland, focusing on First Nations culture and regional connection.
  • Hearts without Boarders: Faith in Action – Alternating between Sri Lanka and Cambodia, inspiring compassion and global citizenship.
  • Regional Music Showcase – Held annually in regional Victoria, this tour showcases our students’ musical talents while building teamwork and connection.

Through these camps tours and immersions, De La Salle students are encouraged to explore, reflect and grow — emerging as empowered young men ready to make a meaningful difference in the world.
