Parent Network News
The Parent Network has been a great part of the College community for many years and is looking forward to reconnecting with returning families, teachers and staff in 2015 as well as welcoming new families into the De La Salle community.
As a parent body our primary objective is to enhance our students’ school experience through parent involvement and to improve communication between parents and the College. Our main function is organising social and fundraising events throughout the year.
We know that all parents are busy with the demands of everyday life; however we do encourage you to become involved with the Parent Network, whether that be through giving a small amount of your time and energy helping us to run one of the social events, being a year level representative, or sitting on the committee. We greatly appreciate any assistance you are able to offer in our effort to foster a vibrant and nurturing environment for our College community. A Volunteer Form was sent as part of the welcome pack which we encourage you to complete and return as soon as possible.
Parent Network Committee Office bearers are as follows:
Louisa Salmon and Cate Robertson — Co President
Julie Carr — Vice President
Anest Nicolaou – Treasure
Wendy Rowland – Communications
Trish Woodman – School Representative
Secretary – This position is vacant
The Parent Network committee members would love to see you at any of our events this year. One of our first events for the year will be the Year 7 Parents Welcome Evening on Thursday 19 February. Invitations to this evening have been sent out. We have many other events planned including welcome drinks for all year levels, Mother’s and Father’s Day breakfasts, a mum’s luncheon, and dad’s footy night. Our major function will be held on Saturday 15 August. Further information will be available in Term 2.
For more information on being involved with the Parent Network or any of our events, please refer to the school website or email us at email@example.com or attend one of our meetings that are held monthly during school terms. Our meeting dates are in the school calendar.

An enormous thank you to everyone who has sent their Parent Network Volunteers Forms back to the College. The response this year has been the best in my memory which bodes well for the future. If anyone has lost their Volunteers Form, I can email you a copy.
Until I get all the information into my database to email volunteers I need to ask here for help on a couple of occasions coming up.
