Exclusive interview with award-winning author Michael Gerard Bauer

When Australian author Michael Gerard Bauer visited De La Salle Malvern on August 11 to share his thoughts on creative writing with our Year 7 students, we asked if we could interview him so the whole school community could benefit from the opportunity to hear him speak. Year 11 student Matthew Mottola interviewed Michael Gerard Bauer in the Tiverton Library, and you can watch the interview here:

Michael Gerard Bauer is the author of the popular series Eric Vale: Epic Fail, which features illustrations created by his son, Joe. Bauer’s other books include his critically acclaimed debut novel The Running Man, which was awarded the honour of 2005 Children’s Book Council of Australia Book of the Year for Older Readers, as well as numerous other International Honours. Just a Dog, Don’t Call Me Ishamel! and others share Bauer’s fun, insightful and delightful writing style and are available to be borrowed from the De La Salle Library.
