With only 3 De La Salle Teams on the winners list last week, we are currently hoping for more success this week. The obvious highlight from last week was the win by our Year 10 ACC Soccer Team against Simonds College (3 — 4). Not only was it their first win for the season, but also De La Salle has bragging rights over Mr. Riordan and his Simonds boys!
To coincide with Founder’s Day taking place this Friday, 17 May De La Salle plays St Bede’s in 6 Lasallian Derbies in ACC Football and Soccer next week. With St Bede’s having already defeated us in Year 7 and 9 Football, we are hoping to get wins from our Year 8, 10 and First XVIII Football Teams along with our Year 7, 8 and 9 Soccer Teams.
The De La Salle Gift will be held once again on Founder’s Day along with the revival of the De La Salle Mile. Both events are conducted on Malvern Oval and we are hoping to have maximum participation in both prestigious events.
